Mulki, May 4: One person was killed and another seriously injured in an accident involving a bike and an auto rickshaw near the Kokkarakal milk society on National Highway 66 on May 3, Saturday.
Kareem (50), a resident of Katipalla was heading towards Hejamady Kannangad form Katipalla when the mishap took place. Kareem died on the way to the hospital, while his son Hafees (13) is seriously injured.
It is learnt, Kareem’s bike collided against the auto rickshaw loaded with ice when he tried to avoid hitting a dog which came in the way of the bike.
The slow pace of highway works is said to be the reason for the mishap.
