Mangalore, April 28: Pratap Simha Nayak, District BJP President said that “Toll plaza vandalism is a government sponsored Gundaism.” He has suspected an altogether different conspiracy behind the recent destruction resorted to by miscreants at the Brahmarakootlu Toll Plaza.
Speaking to the press persons at the District BJP office on April 28, Monday, he threw a serious contention when he said that the men involved in the toll gate vandalism were those who move in and around with the District Minister.
He also said that there has been a total breakdown of law and order in the district and police are not doing anything about this. Hassainar, one of the criminal involved with the toll plaza vandalism was seen during election campaigning with the District Minister and Congress candidate, Hassainar is also facing over 15 cases and non-bailable warrants Nayak added.
Speaking on the issue of Kabeer’s case, Nayak said the government had no hesitation in announcing Rs 10 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased even before the case was probed. However, in case of the death of a sincere officer like Bande, the family had to struggle much to secure a compensation of Rs 5 lakh.
He mentioned that a protest will be staged in Bantwal on May 6 and also said that, the BJP would go in for a large scale agitation if the issues were not resolved.
