Muslim Central Committee demand CBI probe into Kabeer’s encounter case

Mangalore, Apr 2: Muslim Central Committee president Mohammad Masood urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take action against the fake encounter killing of cattle trader Kabeer of Jokkatte.

Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on April 20, Sunday, he said that Home minister K J George has assured to hand over the case to the COD, but since we want the detailed investigations into the matter, the minister must hand over case to CBI.

He also said that details of reports of the case reveals that ANF has played a foul game in this fake encounter and also been manipulated by the police. The committee we not request anybody in connection to this case, but demand answer to all the questions.

Masood also said that government has declared a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for Kabir’s family looking into calculations from all angles, but as a part of justice the government must give atleast Rs 30 lakhs compensation to his family, he said.

Congress leader Ibrahim Kodijal said that CM Siddaramaiah, home minister K J George, minister U T Khader and the MLAs have promised to look into this issue seriously and to conduct a detailed investigation  provide justice to his family members.

Vasudev Boloor, Sayeed Ismail, Haneef Hajee, B Aboobakar, Moideen Monu, Basha Thangal, C M Musthafa, Yusoof Akthar, Mohammad Shareef and many others were present.
