Mangalore, Apr 14: Former Goa chief minister Luizinho Faleiro said that if the people of the district elect Congress candidate B Janardhana Poojary, then district can witness more development.
Speaking at the press meet held at party’s Election Office on April 14, Monday, after paying tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, he said that the capable and efficient leader like Janardhan Poojary has worked for the upliftment of the poor during his term as union minister and highlighted the problem related to to the region in the Parliament.
Faleiro said that BJP campaign all over with the example of Gujarat model of development which is a farce, since Gujarat was backward in health sector, education as well as farming sectors.
Union Minister Oscar Fernandes, said that the major infrastructures witnessed by the districts was during the Congress rule. Hence people must support Poojary in the upcoming elections.
MLA JR Lobo, MLA Moidin Bava, Interim President of District Congress Ibrahim Kodijal, spokesperson Ivan D’Souza, Kallige Taranath Shetty, AC Bhandari and Suresh Ballal, Congress leaders were also present.
