Moodbidri, April 14: Health centre at Moodbidri is running short of personnel to fill the vacant posts. The centre was established to help the poor in their medical needs.

The health centre got standardized 6 years back, a new building was constructed and many other amenities were provided. The centre requires 53 personnel to serve 30 beds, but currently only 29 staffs are managing the patients.

Have nots cannot go to a private hospital to get required treatment since these are highly expensive, Govt. has established this centre to serve such people, but unfortunately this is not being taken care.

The request to fill the vacant posts was made 10 years back to District health and family welfare department. The situation was made known to the State Health minister, U.T. kadar, when he visited the hospital. No actions have been taken so far. The public has lost hopes on the ministers and officials.
