Mangalore, Apr 8: The Family members of the three arrested persons in connection with recent murder of autorickshaw driver Rajesh, claimed that the arrested youths are innocent and hence there is need for fresh investigation in the case.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on April 7, Monday, Aseema, sister of Irshad, one of the accused said that the three arrested youths have no past criminal record and working as a labourers t earn their living. When approached the Bantwal town police, they too failed to give clear information.
She also said that the police personnel’s have tortured the three arrested and forced them to admit the crime, although they are not involved in this murder. They are also threatened to book them under other cases and ensured not to provide bail, if they refused to admit the crime.
Aseema also said that the police are harassing the arrested by giving electric shock on their ears and applying chili power to their private parts, which is revealed by the arrested themselves. Hence the case needs to be investigated by the sincere official, he said.

It is recalled that an Auto driver Rajesh was murdered at Kalpane on March 21 and police had arrested Hussain, Imran and Irshad, residents of Demmale in Mallur on April 1 and seized A bike and two weapons used for crime from them.a
