Mangalore, Apr 4: Congress corporator Pratibha Kulai of Hosabettu ward accused former MLA Krishna Palemar of protecting seven people, who recently abused and threatened her in Kodikere.
Prathibha said that when she was campaigning in Kodikere, few habitual offenders and criminals had threatened her. Due to this, she had filed complaint against the seven persons, while former MLA Palemar had claimed them to be innocent and protected them.
She also said that she had the record of accused having the criminal background in the past to prove it. As challenged by the accused to take the truth test before Pili Chamundi Daiva, Corporator said that she was ready to face it, if the accused are willing to come.
Suratkal MLA Moidin Bava also accused Palemar of promoting ‘goondaism’ in the constituency.
