Mangalore, April 3: Former minister J Krishna Palemar at the press meet held at BJP election office on April 3, Thursday, said that congress has failed to keep up its promise related to cancellation of Self Assessment Property Tax as well as the single site approval system.
Countering the allegation charged against him by District in charge minister Ramanath Rai, Palemar said that he had taken up many developmental projects worth Rs 500 crores and there are documents to prove the works.
He also said that under the Congress rule, there are many cases of cattle trafficking, communal tension and even Derlakatte forced sex incident. Apart from it, there are 86 cases of cattle smuggling registered in a single police station, he added.
Palemar also accused Mangalore North MLA Moidin Bava of misusing public funds by giving road asphalting contracts to his relatives.
District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak, Umanath Kotian and others were present.
