Karnataka Bank opens its 700th Moneyplant ATM at Nanthoor Junction

Mangalore: The 700th Moneyplant ATM of Karnataka Bank was inaugurated at Nanthoor Junction, in Mangalore on 31-03-2014 by Prof. B M Hegde, Padmabhushan Awardee, Cardiologist and Rtd. Vice-chancellor of Manipal University. “History of an organization is an important tool to predict its future. Karnataka Bank has had a glorious history and is known for the excellent service rendered by its ever helpful and friendly staff. No wonder the Bank has made rapid progress and has emerged as a progressive bank. Since its inception, Karnataka Bank has had the privilege of being led by “authentic” and compassionate leaders who could touch the hearts of people with their words and deeds. This has increased the popularity and goodwill of the Bank”, said Prof B M Hegde.

In his introductory address, Shri P Jayarama Bhat, MD & CEO of the Bank said that there was a growing demand for ATMs, not only from the younger generation but even from senior citizens, in view of the fast changing life styles of the people. “Even ATMs in the rural areas have good demand and are recording very high number of hits. During the current financial year 2014-15, the bank intends to open another 300 new ATMs to take the ATM count to 1,000 and 75 new branches across the country to take the total number of branches to 675 by the end of March 2015. The Bank has been introducing new, innovative technology based products and bringing about improvements in the existing products to suit the changing profiles of its clients”, he said.

Shri Ananthakrishna, Chairman of the Bank presided over the function. Mrs. Sumana Ghate, AGM-Mangalore Kodialbail Branch, welcomed the gathering. Shri Shankar Bhat, Branch Manager, Mangalore Kadri Branch proposed the vote of thanks. Shri Nagesh Rao GM, Chief Manager – Mangalore Region, compered the programme.
