Mangalore: St.Christopher association was initiated on March 26, 1967. The day is marked as Founder’s day and on this occasion Founder’s day celebration was held at the association hall.
Founder and Founder Secretary Mr.Alphonse Fernandes were honored by the senior member Mr.Denis Lobo and also other 10 Founder Members were honored. Honorary President Mr.Sushil Noronha felicitated to the Founder Members and spoke on the occasion when association started there were 132 Founder Members and by their selfless service and social concern has reached the association to the topmost.
By their great effort, the hostel facilities provided to the needy and for the drivers, financial support through the Maco Society and Balmatta petrol pump giving good service to the customers. This is only because of founder members. Present we have 1500 members with good Unity, with helping nature it is good example to other Associations.
Spiritual Director V.Rev.J.B.Crasta told, “By the senior member’s dedication and sacrifice, it is a great encouragement to the present members. In future days, he wished that the association will do good project to the society.”
Founder Secretary Mr.Alphonse Fernandes in his speech recalled all the old memories. Association President Mr. Raymond D’Cunha welcomed the gathering; Secretary Mr. Herald D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. On this occasion Vice President Francis D’Souza, Joint Secretary Denis D’souza was present on the dais.
