Mangalore: Akashavani of Mangalore has organised various programs that will enlighten the public about elections and related issues. The program includes, Live talks, speech, debate, announcements etc.
DC of Dakshina Kannada A.B. Ibrahim and other officials have participated and interacted with public.
The program details are as fallows.
- ‘Mathadarara Jaagruthi’ is a live phone in program which will be held every Wednesday at 8.50 am.
- Women’s participation in election is another phone in program which will be answered by K.N. Janardhan on 27.03.2014 at 12.30 pm.
- ‘Awareness to young voters’ will be telecasted On 01.04.2014 at 4.30 pm. The program will be presided by the former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
- On 02.04.2014, Udupi Village accountant Kanakavalli will participate in ‘Mathadarara Jaagruthi’ program at 8.50 am.
- On 03.04.2014, Dr. Shalifa, Prof. of Political science at SDM College Ujire will host Women’s participation in election at 12.30 pm.
- On 10.04.2014, Smt. Tulasi Madaneni, president of District sweep committee will talk on ‘How to increase public participation in election’ at 12.30 pm.
- On 17.04.2014, Smt. Sandhya, Prof. of Political science at Alvas College will talk on ‘Voting is our right’ at 12.30 pm.
There will be many more programs conducted to create awareness about elections, said the Program Director Dr. Vasanth Kumar Perla
