Moodbidri, Mar 19: There has not been any suo Moto compliant filed against senior Congress leader Janardhana Poojari for violating poll code of conduct, said the Assistant Returning Officer of Moodbidri Dr. Ashok.
Making conversation with reporters, Dr. Ashok mentioned that he did consider the violation of model code of conduct during a congress meeting held at Moodbidri on March 16 after the concerned officials reported the incident to him. He added that the same has been brought to the notice of the DC who is also the District Election Officer.
“A Making personal remark against another party leader is indeed a violation of the model election code of conduct but not a criminal offence. Our duty is to report such incident and not to file a complaint,” said Dr. Ashok.
