Mangalore : BJP District Spokesperson Monappa Bhandary criticized the statement given by Union Minister Veerappa Moily, stating that BJP has broken into three groups because after the distribution of tickets, Congress has been formed into various groups.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on April 19, 2013, he said that Congress has no moral right to comment on BJP, since in a few days, Congress has formed into a number of groups.
It was the Congress leaders who staged protest in front of their office and criticized the party for not giving ticket to Ivan D’Souza. While Vijayakumar Shetty and Moideen Bawa had fought with each other at the Airport in front of Union Minister Oscar Fernandes. But in BJP there is no difference of opinion with regard to the candidates in the district.
He said that the BJP is party workers are doing the door-to-door campaigning for the candidates. The party also organized workers’ conventions in Puttur, Sullia, Mangalore city and Moodabidri while the convention in Belthangady is scheduled on April 20.
He said that , BJP District Publicity Committee has been formed with Monappa Bhandary as its convener and K P Jagadish Adhikari, Vinay Naik, Sucharitha Shetty, Kaiyur Narayana Bhat, Chandrahas Adyanthaya, Budiyaru Radhakrishna Rai as its members.
