BJP and Sangh Parivar is responsible for Kalladka incident: Ramanath Rai

Mangalore, Mar 11: State Minister for Forest and District in charge minister B Ramanath Rai said that BJP and Sangh Parivar is responsible for the Kalladka incident, with an aim to disrupt the official meeting organized by the Congress party.

Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on March 11, Tuesday, he said that Congress party had organized a convention in Kalladka to restrain social harmony in the society and have not violated the election code of conduct.

He also said that BJP with the fear of losing the election, BJP and Sangh Parivar under the guidance of Prabhakar Bhat organized this attack.

The miscreants from the Sangh Parivar pelted stone for one and half hour to disrupt the convention and involved themselves in delivering hate speeches and spoiling the social harmony in the society. The Congress party had organized the programme with authentic permission and what were the Sangh Parivar people doing in this convention. We have the recording of Chandraprakash Shetty’s speech and he never used derogatory statements, he informed. The Congress party workers will work united and show our unity in the forth coming Loksabha elections, he added.

Rai also said that Kalladaka is not anyone’s property and Congress has the freedom to organize a meet anywhere. There is no personal grudge against Prabhakar, but condemn the activities of communal violence take place in society under his guidance. Congress is a secular party and has no soft corner towards the ideology of the Sangh Parivar.

Ibrahim Kodijal said that Election campaign, will begin from March 16 and Congress has planned for a Padayatra in all 8 MLA constituency of Dakshina Kannada.

The campaigning in Mangalore South-North Constituency will commence from Thokottu to Kuloor onMarch14, Bantwal on  March15, Moodbidri  on March16, Belthangady March 17, Puttur on March 18and Sullia on March 19.

Leaders like Kallige Tharanath Shetty, Ivan D’ Souza, PV Mohan and others were present.
