Mangalore, March 8: BJP has released the second list of Lok Sabha candidates giving an end to the speculations regarding the party candidates for the DK and Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituencies.
The BJP party has finalized the name of sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel from Dakshina Kannada Constituency and former minister Shobha Karandlaje from Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency.
In the previous elections Nalin has the credit of defeating veteran Congres leader Janardhana Poojary. DK constituency holds the successive wins with the party from since 1991.
Whereas the Udupi-Chikmagalur constituencyhas the Congress MP Jayaprakash Hegde, who has defeated BJP candidate Sunil Kumar in the 2012 by-election. The election was held after Sadananda Gowda who representing the constitution took charge as the chief minister.
