Udupi; Feb 28: Addressing the symposium organized under the aegis of Bharatiya Kisan Sangha, Udupi District Samiti, held recently at Samiti’s office against the proposed increase in current price by MESCOM, Satyanarayana Udupa, Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission’s Advisory Committee’s member and district general secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Sangha said in his speech that BKS intends to submit five thousand objections against the proposed increase in current rate by MESCOM.

In this regard MESCOM has already forwarded its proposal to Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission. Defending its decision, Mescom has given the lame excuse saying that anticipating the loss of Rs 196.98 crore for the year 2015, this increase was inevitable but this reason was unacceptable by BKS, they said.

After the submission of oppositions, those who wish to argue personally in front of the commission, should submit their 6 sets of affidavits attested by Notary to office of the commission, 6th Floor, M.G.Road, Bangalore before 6th of March, he informed.
