Mangalore, Feb 27: All College Students Union has supported for the district Bandh on March 3, as per the call given by the Netravathi Jeevanadi Rakshana Samithi and various like-minded organisations opposing the Netravathi Diversion or Yettinahole Project.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on Feb 27, Thursday, All College Students Union President Dinaker Shetty said that the students union will fully support the movement and bandh and stage protest in front of the DC office on March 3 and burn the effigies of former CM DV Sadananda Gowda and Union Minister Veerappa Moily who worked for the implementation of this project.
He also said that various organizations will observe March 3 as a Black Day, opposing the foundation stone laying ceremony of the project.
Student Union leaders Rakshith Poojari, Dharmaraj, Ashwith Kottari, Rajesh Shetty, Manish Gatty and others were present at the press meet.
