Remote controlled power tiller designed by Mangalorean bags Natl Award

Mangalore, Feb 26: Prajwal V Kumar, Researcher and Managing Director of Mangalore Robautonics Pvt Ltd said that a kit that operates a power tiller through remote control designed and developed by him has won national award.

Speaking at the press meet held at Information department office, he said that the machinery designed by hi, has also received Patent from the Technology Information for Costing and Assessment Council which is an affiliate organization of the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India.

He also said that he spent Rs one crore for the development of the machinery and product will cost around Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000, which will enable a farmer to  till his fields  through remote control. The government has not offered any subsidy to it, he added.

His invention has also bagged Electronic Product Award in 2010, Young Inventor Award in 2010,   Gold Award of FICCI, National Award as well as patent in 2013-14.

District Information Officer Khader Shah was also present.
