Mangalore, April 17:  Speaking to media persons in the press meet held at party office in Nanthoor on April 17, Wednesday, Janardhan Poojary-former Union minister and congress leader said in his speech that congress has given more importance for minority communities by allocating 25-26 seats out of 224 seats in the state.

BJP is the one party, which creates chaos at the time of ticket allocation and has BJP given any ticket to any minority candidate? he questioned.

Congress has already given two tickets to Muslims, one ticket to Christian and one ticket to Jain out of 13 seats.

He further said, there is no chaos or internal bickering between the party workers. Yes, it is indeed we have noticed that some of the party workers might have expressed their unhappiness over their denial of ticket to contest in the forthcoming state Assembly election.

Decisions of ticket allocations are made by high command based on certain party principles and once the high command gives its node, that is final and we abide by it, he clarified.

He refuted  the false and baseless allegation of BJP, that Congress party is not giving any importance to Hindus and told that all are Indians first and no discrimination be made based on religion. All people are equally treated, he said.

Answering the question about Vijay Kumar Shetty threatening to contest as a rebel, Poojary has said that matter had been already resolved and that he would not be contesting and has promised that he will work hard for the elections, said poojary.

Further he said, as promised earlier in his election manifesto, he had already written to high Command to consider his request of allocating rice @Rs.1/per Kilo to the people below poverty line. (BPL)
