Venue all set for Modi’s ‘Bharata Gellisi’ public rally: Pratap Simha Nayak

Mangalore, Feb 18: A total of 1674 volunteers from Dakshina Kannada and nearly 1000 volunteers from Udupi would participate in the Narendra Modi’s ‘Bharata Gellisi’ public rally to be held at Nehru Maidan on Feb 18, Tuesday.

Addressing the press meet convened by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Nehru Maidan on 17 February, Monday, Pratap Simha Nayak, district BJP president of Dakshina Kannada said that as a part of event, Vehicle arrangements and adequate space for parking facilities have been provided.

He also said that programme will begin at 2 pm, while Modi is expected to arrive at 3 pm and will reach the venue at 3.30 pm. Till 3 pm, Shanbouge and team will entertain the gathering with patriotic songs.

In order to have a glimpse of the event, the members have installed four LED’s inside the Maidan and two LED’s outside the Maidan. The district administration and the police department have rendered full co-operation for this event, he added.

State and National leaders including Ananth Kumar, B.S.Yedurappa, Prahlad Joshi, Satish .G are expected to be a part of this event.

Nayak said that Modi will be welcomed in Dakshina Kannada style by honouring with farmer’s head gear and areca garland.

The steel rods and mud collected for the Sardar Vallabhai Patel Statue will be symbolically presented to Modi on the occasion, he added.
