Kundapur; Feb 17: Under the auspices of Maravanthe Seva Sanskritika Vedhike Sadhana, annual richness of ‘Makkala Mela’ was held in government higher primary school’s Sadhana Mantap on Feb, 15, Saturday.
Tiny-tots from 5 local Anganwadi schools, two primary and one higher primary schools and high school children gathered at one point and this programme was completely devoted for children to exhibit their talents, skills in front of their guardians, parents. Elder’s role was limited to guide, support and encourage.
As part of this, in the first children’s meeting, this was begun with the song of intetntion ‘Naavu yeleyaru, Navu Geleyaru, Hridaya Hoovina Handara’by Nagajyothi, Rinku, Rakshitha, Aneesha, Shreevarsha, the students of higher primary school.
Keerthan Kumar, high school student leader has presided over the function. He said in his presidential speech that if adequate opportunity is given by the elders and the same is being appropriately used by the students, children’s personality development will blossom. In this context, the programme which has been conducting for the past several years by Maravanthe’s Sadhana is highly commendable and exemplary performance, he said.
Before the commencement of ‘Mela’, prizes were distributed by Sujan.R.Billawa, student leader of higher primary school to the winners of tens of sports, games and academic competitions held at the level of individual institutions. He also said that the ‘Makkala Mela’by Sadhana is a special and unique programme, which help to gather all talents of children in the region and to exhibit at point.
Pre-junior primary school’s Aditya Hebbar welcomed.Anishraj, from Karavali junior primary school proposed vote of thanks. High school’s Nishantha Poojary compered the programme. Children’s variety talent shows enthralled the guardians, parents.
