Mangaloreans interact with Modi during ‘Chai Pe Charcha’

Mangalore, Feb 13: The Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) in association with NaMo Brigade organized a video conferencing programme ‘Chai Pe Charcha Narendra Modi Ke Saath’ in order to interact with BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on Feb 12, Wednesday.

In Mangalore several fans of Modi were present in front of the New Tajmahal Cafe at Kodalbail where the video conference was held.  Though the live video conferencing was witnessed by Modi supporters in 82 tea stalls of 25 cities in the state, only a select few from Mangalore and Bangalore centres were given an opportunity to interact with the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.

After coming online at 6 pm, Modi answered several questions and highlighted his past experience and hardship he faced as tea seller and also his vision for India.

A final year BCA student Nishmitha Prabhu, who got an opportunity to interact with Modi, suggested to bring about accountability at every level and to maintain status report of every official and politician. After waiting for a long time for his answer due to the technical snag, Modi replied that government needs to be accountable and that the accountability of the government which is based on ‘output’ should be made ‘outcome.’

In Mangalore, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC Monappa Bhandari, former minister Nagaraj Shetty, former MLA N Yogish Bhat, NaMo Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy and others were present.
