Mangalore: Lions Club Mangalore Cauvery jointly with KMC Hospital Mangalore organised a “Free Medical Check Up Camp” exclusively for the Govt school students at D.K.Z.P. Hr. Pry. School, Bolar, Mangalore (South) on 12.02.2014.
Lions Club President Ln. Shamitha Sanjay inaugurated the camp and revealed that the camp is held as a part of their community service projects. About 150 students of D.K.Z.P. Hr. Pry. School Bolar and D.K.Z.P. Urdu Hr. Pry. School Bolar (W) participated in the camp.
Dr. Kavitha, Dental Surgeon, Dr. Vignesh, Opthalmogist, Dr. Razia, Paediatrician of KMC Hospital volunteered their services in dental health check-up, eye screening, ENT, orthopaedics and general ailments of the students. Few were advised to visit the hospital for further treatment.
Head Mistress of D.K.Z.P. Hr. Pry. School Bolar Mrs. Meenakshi and Head Mistress of D.K.Z.P. Urdu Hr. Pry. School Mrs. Aabida and teachers were present on this occasion.
Mr. Laveen, Health Officer KMC coordinated the camp. Lions Club Mangalore Cauvery is the only all ladies club comprising of 50 members who are engaged in voluntary services in the dist in the community development activities.
