Kundapur; Feb 11: Under the auspices of Udupi district physical instructor’s Sangha, physical education teacher’s conference and national sports achiever’s felicitation programme was held on Feb 10, Monday in Sabrakatte Mahatma Gandhi high school’s Thattuvattu Vishwanatha Joyeesh auditorium.
Inaugurating the programme Laxminarayana Tunga, Principal of Koteshwara government P.U. College said in his speech that the role of physical education teacher’s equally important in academic education system. They will do the important work of teaching and correcting the discipline and restraint of the passion of the students. In today’s society, teachers in the society should perform their duties after knowing their morality, he said.
All the national level achievers have been honored by state level in the programme. Retired teachers and achievers in teaching profession were complimented on the occasion.
Nagesh Shanbhaug, Brahmavar constituency’s education authority has presided over the function. A famous Yakshagana exponent and crtic Vadiraja Kalluraya delivered an assigned speech.
