Udupi;Feb 06: Presiding over the Mangalore University’s Kanaka pedestal’s ‘Kanaka Chintana Pracharopanyasa’ programme held in Tenkanidiyur government first grade college, while delivering special lecture college principal Prof.Mahesh Rao said that thinking of Kanakadasa even today also making us to worry.
Some of his arguments about caste is acceptable to all the time. That is why his books are making us to think.G.Rajashekara,a thinker and critic said in his speech that Kanaka was a man with progressive views.
Prof.Prasad Rao,M.HOD of English welcomed the guests,Kanaka pedestals’ director Dr.Shivarama Shetty delivered an introductory speech.Dr.Gananatha Yekkar,HOD of Kannada department by talking on intention said that constitutional values are formed along with thinking of philosophers.Dr.Niketana,convener of Kannada department proposed vote of thanks and Nagaraj,a post graduate student compered the programme.Archana sang Kanaka Keerthans.
