Mangalore, Feb 4: Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim directed the officials of Tourism department to speed up the implementation of tourism promotion programmes.
He was speaking at the meeting held with District Tourism Development Committee convened at DC office on February 4, Tuesday. DC also discussed various tourism programmes to be implemented in district.
He also said that the government has sanctioned the amount of Rs 10 lakhs for tourism promotion works in the district, hence the department must effectively utilize the fund, he added.
Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo, Additional DC K Dayanand and other officials were present.
