Mangalore, Feb 4: Bishop of Mangalore Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza inaugurated the new building of St Antony Church at Kulur on February 3, Monday.
The new church building comprises of a grotto, a belfry, and a parochial house. A solemn Eucharistic celebration was also held on the occasion. Bishop of Bellary Dr Henry D’ Souza blessed the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Church is a holy place where the children of god can keep in contact with lord almighty. There is necessity of churches to offer divine offerings and prayer to the lord.
Bishop felicitated Contractor Richard Rodrigues Kelrai, engineer Lawrence Cutinho Bondel and many others who were actively involved in the construction of the building in the presence of Kulur church parish priest Fr Herald C D’Souza, Harsha Moily, son of union minister Veerappa Moily, state health minister U T Khadar, Mangalore North MLA Mohiuddin Bava and others.
Addressing the gathering, Bellary bishop Dr Henry D’Souza said that youths are the future of our society, hence it is the duty of parents to take them into right path.
Vincent D’Souza, Linette D’Souza, Cleaver D’Souza, Dolphy Ferrao and others were present on the occasion.
