District in charge minister inaugurates mass convention of Madivala community

Mangalore, Feb 3: Minister for forest, ecology, and environment B Ramanath Rai inaugurated the 75th anniversary and mass convention of Madivala community organized by Dakshina Kannada district Madivalara Sangha at Nehru Maidan on February 2, Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, minister said that Madivala community must shack all the inferiority complex and make an effort to come up in society. The Madivalara Sangha must help the people of community to come up in life by providing education and job opportunities. The government has given the facilities to various communities, hence they must their benefits.

Minister for health and family welfare U T Khadar said that the contribution of Madivala community towards the society is tremendous.

Umanath P B read out the organization’s memorandum stating demands such as providing grant for the community to purchase washing machines, name any circle in city after Sri Guru Machideva, establishment of Guru Machideva Study Center in Mangalore University and others.
