Mangalore : The BJP has released its third list of 37 candidates for the assembly elections on April 14, Sunday. The party has chosen Umanath Kotian as its candidate from Moodbidri who will be pitted against sitting  MLA Abhayachandra Jain.

The BJP has chosen Ranjan Gowda in Belthangady and he will face Vasanth Bangera of the Congress. The Moodbidri candidate is also the president of the Tulu Academy. In Belthangady the party after a careful observation has chosen Ranjan Gowda. Initially the names of  Pratap Sinha Nayak, Prabhaker Bangera were doing the rounds.
