Karkala; Jan 31: The programme of comprehensive information about the snakes, show and demonstration was held in Kisan auditorium on Jan 30, Thursday.
The exhibition which was held under the auspices of Government women’s polytechnic, Lions Club and Karkala JCI central, has been inaugurated by K.V.Subramanya forest officer, Karkala zone.
Speaking on the occasion he said that contribution of reptiles in maintaining the ecological balance is immense and large. Curiosity, fear prevention, protection and awareness, in this context there is a need of getting primary experience about snakes for all of us, he said.
Principal Monappa M has presided over the function. Dr.Nagaraja Balegara Assistant Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Lions club president Chandrahasa Suvarna and Karkala JCI central President Sudhakara Poojary,reptile expert Gururaj Sanil,JCI former president Satish,college student’s leader Nisha Shetty and among others were present.
After the stage programe, exhibition of variety of snakes, snakes life style and SNAKES and WE, lecture, demonstration and Bonsayi awareness about agriculture were held. The programme of students exhibiting snakes and experiencing was very unique and special.
M.Gunapala Jain hosted the programme, lecturer Annappa Swamy welcomed and Asha Rani, lecturer proposed vote of thanks.
