Karkala; Jan 23: A case of woman’s death due to snake bite was reported in Andar Hosamane on Jan 23, Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Smt.Prema, aged 60, a resident of Andar Hosamane.
It was reported that when she was near her house, a poisonous snake has bitten her. The woman, who fell sick, was taken to Ajakar primary health centre for treatment but she breathed her last while on her way to hospital.
A case was registered in Ajekar police station in this regard.
