Mangalore, Jan 21: MLA J R Lobo handed over a compensation check of Rs 1.5 lacs to the Kin of Ankith, on Tuesday, January 21 in the MLA office.
Ankith a student of standard 8 had lost his life as he was washed away by the heavy flood water on July 5, 2013. The compensation amount has been sanctioned under the Natural Calamity fund.
The check was handed over to his mother Nandini and grandmother Hemavathi with the presence of Alape North Corporator B Prakash, Alape VA Hareesh and congress worker Kishore Suryanagar.
