Moodbidri; Jan 20: After attending the polio vaccination programme for children held in Samudhaya health centre, Moodbidri on Jan 19, Sunday as a part of state-wide pulse polio vaccination campaign,Abhayachandra Jain,minister for youth welfare and fisheries said in his address that in order to convert India into polio-free nation, vaccination of polio vaccine to children is mandatory.
Due to polio vaccination to children, which has been in practice for the last few years, the percentage of polio in the country has substantially reduced and now only 2-3 years, this campaign will continue, he said.
