Udupi; Jan 17: On behalf of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka State youth conference’s Rovers and Rangers by cleaning St.Mary’s Island, proved their interest towards social service.
Kodavur Raviraja Hedge, president of DK milk producer’s vokkoota inaugurated the cleanliness campaign and appreciated the participation of youths in the health and development programmes like this.
Around 200 campaigners of youth conference, who came from different districts of the state, camp officers, camp leaders took part in the cleanliness campaign and cleaned empty plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic envelops, liquor bottles and other wastes thrown by tourist of Island.
Under the guidance of Udupi DC,with the co-operation of Dr.Neri Karnelio,principal of Kalyanpur Milagress college,Rajagopalacharya,Malpe port’s Ganesh Baputhota,Santhosh Pai,Home Guard’s Manjunatha,Prabhakar Bhat,Ananda Adiga,Vikram Singh,Pushpa Nayak and Bangalore centre’s Manjunatha Achar,Janaki Venugopal have given guidance for the programme.Milagres College’s Dr.Jayaram Shettigar convened the programme
