Kundapur; Jan 17: Now it is the time of festivals everywhere. Car festivals, Kenda Seva, Lakshadweep and many more such festivals are being happening daily. There are so many pseudo fortune-tellers are waiting for these opportunities and coming and sitting in one corner of the place of festivals and looking for the prey to trap. When people are going in line, first they call them towards them and ask them nicely, did you feel bad because I called you? Then they pamper them by saying that I will tell three-four matters about you, if you like, will you pay Rs 20/? They ask them. If the customer say, O.K for that deal, then it is gone case, he will fall in the pit…

So called astrologer got one bundle of Palmyra leaves and tells the customer to pick one leaf from the bundle. Based on the picture on the Palmyra leaf, he start telling his/her fortune uninterruptedly like you will have affair with girl/boy, you will have the problem of spirits, money will not stay with you, you don’t feel like working, feeling lethargic, willing to buy vehicle, ill-health is bothering you and you don’t feel like sitting at home, like that he will bluff so many things.

By chance, if the customer nods his head, so called astrologer will step into little further. Then, he will say for all these problems I will give one stone as a solution, I will do pooja for that and take that stone and put into the water. Then he will say cost of that stone will be Rs 150/-. If the customer agree even for that, so called astrologer pick one small stone which was lying nearby, close his eyes and press that stone on his forehead by pretending as if he is chanting some mantras, then he will hand over that stone from his fist to the customer’s hand.

The people of this type, who after drinking alcohol in the evening are not even able to talk, how they can predict the future of others?.This has remained as million dollar question now..!!

Even after knowing all these are fake, not true, people are tend to fall prey in the hands of such pseudo astrologers including young boys and girls. There are still many people, who are breaking their heads, believing that whatever they said is correct.

Under the circumstance, whatever the government is contemplating to ban superstitions is a good move. What should we call, such people, who try to cheat other people just for their belly sake? That is left to the public.
