Karkala; Jan 15: On behalf of Catholic Sabha Karkala regional samiti, a professional guidance workshop for social kinsmen ‘after S.S.L.C and P.U.C, what will be the next step’ programme, was held in Karkala Christ king Sabha Bhavan
After inaugurating the programme regional president Shree Maxim D’Mello said in his address that it is quite natural in students and parents in getting confused, panicked about after S.S.L.C and P.U.C,what next?.
He comprehensively and completely delivered a speech about the advertisements of different courses offered by private schools, confusing statement about the CET exam by the government, running of prominent educational institutions by part of the government , legislators and ministers, supreme court’s control on private educational institutions, a decades old judgment on higher education’s quality, central government’s financial help to economically backward section,I.I.T,N.I.T.K,medical,engineering,C.A etc and about students of Karavali not taking interest in admission.
Dr.Gerald Pinto, Udupi Kalyanpura Milagress colleges Professor,Catholic Sabha central samiti’s joint treasurer Shree Solomon Alvaris,intimate former president Leena menezes,zonal secretary Smt.Elcy D’souza were present.Regional former president Smt.Matilda Lasrado has introduced resource personnel.
Dr.Gerald Pinto in his capacity as resource person has given a complete information about subjects we need to take after S.S.L.C and P.U.C,higher studies,I.I.T,NITK,medical,engineering,C.A etc and about government’s job like IAS,IPS,IFS and eligibility in getting higher posts in country’s service and replied all the questions of parents and students.
Shree Jerome D’Mellao compered the programme,regional secretary Smt.Elcy D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.In this programme Sero Malabar Church Bajagoli,Mala,Kervashe and Malankara Church,Ajekar and C.S.I church Bajagoli workers have participated.
