Udupi; Jan 15: After inaugurating the 8th year’s ‘Panchamukhi Vyaktitva vikasana yoga shibira and 14th year’s children’s literature conference organized for the children of coastal primary and high school students under the aegis of Shantivana trust Dharmasthala, National government first grade college Barkur, Swami Vivekananda cultural centre Barkur, district public school department, Shree Ramakrishna Ashram branches, Barkur online dotcom and Dakshina Kannada Shree Guru Yoga Sangha in Barkur Rukmini Shedthi memorial government first grade college’s national scholar Dr.G.S.Shivarudrappa literature dais,Jayant Kaikini, renowned litterateur and scholar said in his address that from the lessons of the books, children will acquire knowledge and from extra-curricular activities, discrimination will born in children.
He further said that along with our life, relationship should not be distanced from education. But today, due to the pressure from parents, guardians, children’s relationship with education is being becoming deficient. Literature is being born, only when that relationship is joined, said famous cinema litterateur Kaikini
Continuing his speech, he said that for music and dance one teacher is needed, whereas for literature no teacher is needed. Only by cultivating the habit of reading, literature keep on growing, only little bit of guidance is suffice for literature, he said.
He also said that, if we do not pay heed to the fear of the people, a meaningful literature will not be born. If somebody dies in busy road, the man, who has been getting 90% throughout his life will not come the aid. At that time the person, who was getting 30-40 marks will only respond. They are the real living legend of the society, he added,
Akshaya Hegde, President of two day’s conference, 9th standard student of the Udupi Valakadu combined high school said in her presidential speech that we have to read the books, understand the things we read in the books and points which are found to be correct to be applied in our life. While applying in the life, if needed amendments to be brought in that, she whispered to her fellow students.
Udupi district panchayat president Upendra Nayak has released the children’s self prepared collections of lyrical compositions and students who achieved in national level have been felicitated on the occasion.
