Udupi; Jan 10: On behalf of Udupi Tulu Koota, in MGM college’s Muddanna Mantap, in memory of senior Yakshagana artist Late Malpe Ramadasa Samaga, three days Yakshagana festival was inaugurated on Jan 09, Thursday.
Dr.K.N.Raghava Nambiar, Yakshagana critic has inaugurated the festival. On the occasion ‘Malpe Ramadasa Yakshagana award’ has been presented to Yakshagana artist Dr.Kollyur Ramachandra Rao.
Jayakara Shetty, Indrali, President of Tulu Koota has presided over the function. Secretary of the Koota Gangadhar Kidiyur proposed vote of thanks.Nanda Kumar compered the programme.Thereafter ‘Tulasi Jalandara’ Badaguthittu yakshagana was staged by Udupi Sree LaxmiJanardhana Yakshagana Kala mandali
