Kundapur: Police complaints against miscreants, who dug panchayat road;demands appropriate action

Kundapur; Jan 09: A case of road digging by some miscreants using JCB in between the road, during the day time, obstructing the movements was reported in Hosimane, in Amparu village panchayat jurisdiction on Jan 06, Monday.

According to the sources, the road was constructed by Panchayat in a land given by the locals to the Panchayat from their Patta land for the convenience of the locals.

It was told that in the year 2000, 12 feet width of land from their patta land was handed over to Panchayat by members of three houses to one kilo metre distance starting from Amparu village panchayat’s jurisdiction’s Amparu Neralakatter road’s Talakalgudde to Hosimane for the construction of the road. Even agreement was also made stating at any cost Panchayat road will not get affected.

But on Jan 06, Monday morning all of a sudden, a man called Nakatte Ananda Shetty by bringing Hitachi around three hundred metre distance panchayat road was dug resulting the formation of big pond, creating a big hurdles for the movement. In this regard, the road which is being used by the members of the houses have complained to the Panchayat, who in turn complained to the police.

Shankaranarayana police arrived to the spot and reviewed the situation. In this regard, an emergency meeting will be held on Jan 09,Thursday and  about future course of action will be discussed, sources said.
