Udupi:Jan 06: Dr.H.S.Ballal,vice chancellor,Manipal University has inaugurated the renovated Canara bank branch building, near Udupi taluk office on Jan 06,Monday.
After the inauguration, he said in his address that customers should avail the various facilities of the Canara bank. He added that banks programmes should not be limited to cities only but it should also be implemented in rural areas to serve the society.
On the occasion, Smt.Sujatha Karunakaran, deputy general manager of Mangalore regional office, has distributed around 10 cheques of various facilities in her capacity as chief guest of honour.Deputy general manager I.C.Shetty was present on the occasion.
Udupi Canara bank, court road branch’s General Manager H.Bhanudas Mallya welcomed the gathering, Smt.Jayanthi Nagaraj recited a prayer. Bank’s senior general manager Shree.H.S.Kedlaya, proposed vote of thanks.Smt.Pratibha compered the programme.
Canara bank’s customer’s like Bharat Prabhu, Shashidhar Shetty Yermal, Haridas Bhat, bank’s staff and customers in large numbers were present.
