Karkala; Jan 03: Concretized road, which connects to Mundkur Panchayat office in Karkala taluk, has been inaugurated by legislator V.Sunil Kumar.
Based on the recommendation of legislator V.Sunil Kumar, a special grant of Rs 10 lacs was approved by then chief minister D.V.Sadananda Gowda.The road, which has been concretized out of that grant, is the main road from national highway to Panchayat office, post office, government school, veterinary hospital, sub- health centre and grave yard.
Mundkur village panchayat president Sathyashankara Shetty,vice president Girija Poojarthy, former president Ratna Kulal, members like Bhaskara.M.Shetty,Kariya Poojary,Nagesh Moolya,Ravindra Shetty,Gopala Moolya,PDO Shashidara Acharya,BJP leader Ashok Shetty,village’s prominent leaders like Gananatha Shetty,Dr.P.B.Alva,Yashavantha Acharya,Raghuveera Shenoy,Vishwanatha Shetty,Ganesh Rao, Chandra Kumar,Ramananda Salian and among others were present.
