Mangalore, Dec 25, 2013: Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo, along with state minister for fisheries and port Abhayachandra Jain and other congress leaders celebrated Christmas at Muslim Central Committee office, Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple and Jamiyyatul Falah on Wednesday, December 25.

Lobo celebrated the festival by cutting the cake and distributing kuswar in three places. He also offered special prayers at Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara Temple.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA J R Lobo said that festivals of all religion unite every one.  Every religion preaches same ideology and values.

He also said that people of Dakshina Kannada must unite and become a model to other district in the communal harmony.

Minister Abhaychandra Jain said that Festivals unite people irrespective of caste and religion and today’s celebration is the example for it.

He appreciated MLA Lobo for making time to celebrate Christmas in various religious places and spreas the message of brotherhood.
