Karkala; Dec 21: As a part of national energy conservation day, national level painting competition was held in Delhi on Dec 16. Kumari Deekasha Maalya, a sixth standard student of Hebri Amratha Bharathi English Medium School bagged third prize in the competition.
When she returned to school on Dec 18, Wednesday with her prize and trophy, she was accorded a warm and rousing welcome by her school management, teaching staff and students by taking her in a procession.
H.Gurudas Maalya, president of Vidhya Kendra after finishing the felicitation, appreciated Deeksha for her achievement and said that she not only brought laurels to her parents Hebri Dynes Maalya and Smt.Shashikala.D.Maalya, her school but also to the entire Karnataka by winning this prestigious award and made Karnadigas proud.
