Udupi; Dec 18: Valedictory function of “Kishora Yaksha Sambrama”which was held on behalf of Udupi Yaksha education trust for 18 days by high school students was held on Dec 18, Wednesday in Udupi Shree Krishna Mutt’s Rajaangana.
Paryaya sodhe Matadheesha Shree Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji while extending his blessings in his address said that Yakshagana is the only art, which can preserve Indian culture. Therefore parents should discourage the children watching TV and encourage them to involve in yakshagana, which in turn make them active, he said.
Pejavar Mataadheesha Shree Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji,Pramodh Madhwaraj,legislator,Former MLA Raghupati Bhat,Ambalpady temple’s trustee Dr.Vijaya Ballal,Ramdas Bhat,Tebma company,Padigar Shreenivas Tantry,Mutt’s diwan,Tallur shivarama Shetty,president Yakshagana Kalaranga were present.
