Karkala; Dec 28: A case of cheating has been reported in Kasaba village on Dec 17, Tuesday. According to the sources, when Kasaba village’s Kaabettu rotary colony resident Smt.Bharati and her husband Krishna Acharya were present in the house, a man from Bihar origin came in the disguise of gold merchant and in the pretext of polishing the gold chain, he has cheated the couple by melting the chain.
Sanjaya Kumar, Bihar origin was the man, who came in the disguise of gold merchant. He told the couple that he will polish the dim gold chain and took the gold chain from them and cheated them by melting gold chain in acid water.
Bharati has lodged a complaint in Karkala city police station.
