Udupi: SIO organizes protest condemning implementation of CET

Udupi; Dec 18: Students Islamic Organization of India, Udupi Dist (SIO) has organized protest on Dec 17, Tuesday in front of Udupi clock tower condemning the decision taken by the state government with regard to CET, wherein private educational institutions are kept outside.

Addressing the protestors, Prof.Phaniraj, Udupi district vice president of Karnataka Komu Sauhardhika Vedhike, said in his address that the dreadful 2006 act, which was enacted by BJP-JDS coalition government, is now being implemented by congress government. Due to exorbitant fees of this act 60% of the poor students are deprived of their medical and engineering education, he criticized.

Idris Hoode,of Jamayit Islami Hind, Muhammad  Rehman,district convener of SIO,Udupi standing committee president Muhammad Zeshan,Hoode standing committee president Yasin Kodi Bengre,Malpe standing committee secretary Bilal,Malpe,Hussain Koibengre and among others were present.
