Udupi: Politics in co-operative field destroy Sangha; Kolkebail

Udupi; Dec 18: Inaugurating the ‘Sauhardha Co-operatives chief administrator’s annual meeting organized on behalf of Karnataka Rajya Sauhardha Sayumkta Sahakari Sanghas on Dec 17,Tuesday in Kinnimulky’s Udupi taluk industrial co-operative society (Ltd) auditorium,Kishan Hegde,Kolkebail,president of udupi district co-operative society’s union said in his address that politics in co-operative fields is a agreeable fact and  it should be limited to elections only. But if it continues even after elections, that will destroy the sangha completely.

He further said that Sanghas, once used to work for members, are now working for the government because of the government policies. As 35% of the profit earned, is paid as tax, sanghas are incurring losses. Fight against these policies is important. Therefore in the coming days, awareness about the struggle should be created in co-operative societies, he said.

S.R.Satishchandra, director, Rajya Sauhardha Samyukta co-operative society has presided over the function. Chief Guests of honors like director Bhaskara Kamath, H.B.Jagadish, chief administrator of district co-operative society Union and Prasanna Kumar, Mangalore were present.

Subramanya Hegde, Uttara Kannada, Auditor participated as resource person.Shivakumar Biradhar, training instructor along with welcoming the guests, compered the programme.
