Karkala; Dec 14: In an incident, as a result of a car roll down into the ditch, a student who was traveling in that car met with dreadful death near Miyyaru church on national highway.
Unfortunate deceased in this accident has been identified as Shruthesh, aged 16.He was the first year P.U.C student of city’s Bhuvanendra College and was staying in Bhujabali Brahmaacharya Ashram near Hiriyangady. A parent’s meet was organized in Bhuvanendra P.U.C College on Friday morning. When Karthik, who came to native place, was returning to Karkala in a car along with his parents, this accident took place. The car, which lost the control, hit more than 6 mile stones and finally somersaulted. The head of the student, who was trapped inside the car, hit the black boulder and his brain was separated resulting his dreadful death on the spot.
The father of the deceased Shantaraj, mother and children sustained minor injuries and bruises.
A case has been registered in city police station in this regard.
The college has declared a holiday on Friday as a respect to his departed soul
