Mangalore, Dec 10: Prominent cinematographer, director and producer Sundernath Suvarna(60) passed away on December 10, Tuesday morning.
Suvarna is a well-known cinematographer. He worked for Kannada film industry for four decades for over 150 films. Some of his famous films are Om, Na mmoora Mandara Hoove, Anuraga Sangama and Lock-up Death. He has also directed nearly ten films including Chandu, Kiladi Thatha, Kaliyuga Bheema and Tiger Gang.
As a cinematographer he also worked for Tulu film ‘Bangar Patler.’ He was honored with several awards including the Rajyotsava Award.
Suvarna is survived by his wife, three daughters, seven brothers and three sisters. His family home is at Ballalbagh in Mangalore.
