Mangalore, Dec. 10: After the raid by MESCOM Vigilance Department on the Manipal Dental College at Attavar on December 9, Monday, following a complaint that the college was using electricity which was more than the sanctioned quantity, the officials have imposed a fine of Rs 3.45 crore to the college.
As per the complaint lodged by a social worker P S Haneef Saheb alleging that the college had been using power supply through illegal means for several years, an operation was launched by MESCOM officials.
A fine of Rs 3.45 crore was thus imposed on the college for unauthorized extension of power supply through KMC.
